A bit about me
Hi, I’m Rachel and this is all my sisters fault.
I started The Inclusive Design Company in 2025, but the reason I do this work goes back much further. In 2020 I gained a Professional Diploma in UX Design from the UX Design Institute and spent the next five years designing websites - ensuring that accessibility was at the heart of all designs.
My sister Hannah is visually impaired, and constantly comes up against barriers. In websites, processes, presentations, socials - all because they just haven't been designed with someone like her in mind.
So after years of freelancing, I finally started offering trainings alongside my design work.
My hope is that, one team at a time, we can make our organisations more inclusive.

Rachel reviewed my website and provided me with an understandable and thorough list of recommended changes to make it more accessible, along with a video walkthrough to show me the areas she was referencing (which I found particularly helpful as a visual learner). I feel so much better knowing my website is more accessible for a wider range of people, including people using screen readers and/or who have a visual impairment.
