Hello, I'm Rachel! And this is all my sister's fault.
Hannah (the sister) is exactly the kind of customer businesses dream of. She has a successful career, disposable income, and every intention of spending it - with businesses that actually let her.
Unfortunately, there are often barriers in her way, because she's also visually impaired.
Time and again, poor design means she simply can't find what she needs, get in touch, or make a purchase. So when I started designing websites, I couldn't in good conscience hand over something she couldn't use.
From day one, accessibility became the foundation - not an afterthought. I wanted to build something that put real people at its heart, not just the types of people we picture when we talk about "ideal customers."
